How To Measure for Level Rails
|
Measuring for straight railing is relatively simple. If holes are provided all Dimensions are taken to the center of holes. If no holes are provided, centers of posts are located four (4) inches from edge of deck. The exception to this rule is railing to be fitted to existing posts or columns. The Distance from the edge of the deck is then governed by the distance of the centerline of these posts or columns from the edge.
PLEASE NOTE: Where railing attaches to wall, if the Dimension "F" as seen in Sketch #2 is not at least 32". Please give us the actual Dimension as well as the projection "G" of the obstacle.
